Alzena Bell is a musician, performer and multi-instrumentalist from Dallas, Texas. They are a classically-trained pianist, having formally studied for over 12 years in addition to several years of independent study in jazz, pop and rock styles. They had studied classical voice with a member of the Dallas Opera when they were admitted to the Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre at the University of Oklahoma where they continued their piano and voice training and received their B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance. They have taught private lessons for over 7 years since moving to New York, teaching students as young as 6 and as mature as 60. They take pride in being a patient and nurturing teacher, providing clear instruction for their students to grow, whether just starting out or having previous experience. Since beginning piano lessons at the age of 5, Alzena has engaged with music their entire life, and their aim as an educator is to provide the skills and encouragement for students to develop their own life-long passion for music. Music is the medicine!
