Queralt Giralt Soler is a cellist, composer, and music educator, recognized for her innovative fusion of cello and voice. A graduate of ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) in Barcelona, she studied Music Education and completed her final thesis “Musical Learning and Artistic Expressivity" with summa cum laude honors, reflecting her deep commitment to both artistic and pedagogical excellence. She later continued her studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she was awarded both the prestigious Berklee World Tour Scholarship and the 2025 Berklee String Department Award, recognizing her outstanding artistry and contribution to the string community.
As an educator, Queralt has been teaching students of all ages for 7 years, with a strong commitment to fostering artistic expression, musical fluency, and creative confidence. Her diverse educational background in both classical and contemporary music allows her to offer comprehensive instruction in classical technique, contemporary styles, improvisation, and music theory, and her main goal is to help each student find their own voice when preparing them for recitals and auditions. Since 2024, she has been part of the faculty team at Tallers Musicals d’Avinyó (Barcelona), where she shares her expertise in an environment that values exploration, collaboration, and artistic identity.
Queralt performs regularly, both with her personal project and Zambra Collective. She has collaborated with a wide range of celebrated artists, including Kenny Barron, Jacques Morelenbaum, Joe Lovano, Darol Anger, and the Latin Grammy-winning group Las Migas. Her performances have been heard in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Detroit Jazz Festival, and numerous other stages and festivals throughout Europe and the U.S.
