  • 20 minutes: $50/lesson (available for students of ages 4 & under)

  • 30 minutes: $65/lesson (available for students under the age of 7)

  • 45 minutes: $80/lesson

  • 60 minutes: $95/lesson

In-Home Lessons
An additional fee of $20 per visit to in-home lessons is applied.
In-home lessons are available in Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Dumbo, Park Slope, and Prospect Heights.

Introductory Lessons

Each student begins with a trial lesson at a reduced rate of: 

$50 for 30 minutes

$65 for 45 minutes 

$80 for 60 minutes

Rates apply for all Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, and Vocal Lessons for both In-Person & Online Lessons.

After a successful introductory lesson, families can register for a semester of private lessons and the end-of-semester recital. Please note that there is a $45 non-refundable annual registration fee for individuals and $60 for families. There is also a $45 recital participation fee for individuals and $60 for families to cover recital hall rental, etc.

*Tuition does not cover the cost of music, books, nor semester recitals.

Lesson Policy
BUILDING SAFETY: While we will endeavor to conduct in-person programs we reserve the right to transition in whole or in part to on-line if we feel it necessary for health and safety purposes. *There are no refunds for transitioning to online lessons.

Students and accompanying adults may be subject to COVID-19 screening procedures for in-person programs as determined by the School and consistent to and subject to any NYS or NYC requirements.

KTS will be checking everyone's temperature upon entry. Anyone with a fever or Covid symptoms, i.e. a cough, sore throat, will be sent home.

Students, teachers, and accompanying adults will be required to wash their hands for 20 seconds upon arrival, and will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the lesson. 

Individuals will not be allowed to congregate in the hallway nor sit and in the waiting areas.

Teachers will be asked to wipe down the keys after a student's piano lesson.

For in-person lessons or classes, please drop off your child at the entrance and pick up promptly at the dismissal time. Students 10 years of age and younger must be supervised by parents or guardians while they are waiting for in-person classes and/or lessons to begin. A distance of at least six feet should be maintained among individuals, unless safety requires a shorter distance.

In-Home lessons will be offered, but with the same requirements of wearing masks, six feet distancing, and hand washing for both student and teacher.

IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION AND FACILITY CLOSURE: For students participating in in-person lessons and classes, in the event Keys To Success needs to close its facility for a period of time due to NYC and CDC recommendations related to COVID-19, or as the school deems necessary for safety reasons; instruction will continue online.

Lesson Policy

First-time Students are encouraged to take an introductory lesson with one of our teachers to see if there is a mutual fit before committing for the semester. 

The school year is divided into two semesters.

Both the Fall and Spring semesters consist of 17-18 lessons (Depending on the day of lesson).

Tuition is due in full two weeks before the first lesson of each semester (Or pro-rated from date of commencement). If you need an installment plan, please contact us at keystosuccessnyc@gmail.com

Tuition reserves you or your child(ren) a specific weekly time slot. Tuition includes private lessons and the recital fee is $45 for individuals and $60 for families (with two or more students) to cover performance hall rental and miscellaneous costs. 

A fee of $40 will be applied to vocal student registrations to cover the cost of a professional accompanist at the semester recital. 

Registration is for the entire semester and there will be no tuition refund for partial withdrawal after the first 14 days of the semester.

Tuition does not cover the cost of music or books. New students may register at any time.

There is a $35 charge for any check returned by the bank, as well as $50 for late payment made seven days after the initial due date.

A maximum of two make-up lessons are available per semester (With advanced notice given by 8:00PM the evening before the lesson) for missed lessons. Make-up lessons must be completed during the semester in which the absence occurred: they will not be carried over into the next semester.

Cancellation of lessons due to unsafe weather will be conducted online

In the event of illness, emergency, or any form of absence on the teacher's part, all lessons will be made up within the same semester.  Your lesson will be made up with either your teacher or another studio teacher.

Please be on time to all scheduled lessons! Lesson time lost due to student tardiness will not be made up.

Participation in the bi-annual recital is highly encouraged. Our teachers reserve the right to determine whether or not a student is adequately prepared to perform. 

There will be no rescheduling nor refund available for the cancellation of a make-up lesson.

There will be no other refunds or substitution of lessons for student absences.

A quiet and free-from interruption environment is required for the teacher to have one-on-one lessons with the student. Parents are welcome to observe the first lesson.

The Studio requires 30 days notice for students terminating lessons for any reason..
