Arina Bagaryakova (Bagarisha) is a songwriter, performer, and dedicated music educator based in NYC. She has been teaching piano and voice privately since 2019, working with students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to adult learners. Her teaching emphasizes creativity, strong technical foundations, and helping students build confidence as both performers and musicians. She has prepared students for recitals, auditions, and competitions, while also supporting those who study music purely for personal growth and enjoyment.
Since 2023, Arina has served on the faculty of Berklee College of Music’s Day Sessions Summer Program, where she teaches and mentors middle school students. She has also led workshops that connect music with social justice at the Live Room nonprofit in Morocco, Algonquin Regional High School, and Boston Arts Academy.
Alongside her teaching, Arina maintains an active performance career. She has appeared on The Voice and the Junior Eurovision stage, performed at the JEN Conference with John Patitucci and Kris Davis, and contributed original music to Joana Vasconcelos’ Valkyrie installation at MassArt Art Museum, featured in Forbes. She has collaborated internationally, recording with GRAMMY-winning pianist Leo Genovese and releasing her debut album Svet in 2024 with turntablist Val Jeanty.
Arina is passionate about helping students discover their own voices — whether through piano, singing, or songwriting — and fostering a supportive, inspiring learning environment.
